fx51 technology

One agent.
Every class of fire.

The fx51 agent is a water-based liquid extinguishing medium. In a single step it cools the fuel, separates oxygen and interrupts the chemical reaction of combustion.

Firetech fx51
Ecology

Water + chemical additives. Biodegradable, free of PFAS/PFOA, neutral pH.

Firetech fx51 is one of the most environmentally friendly extinguishing solutions on the market — with no compromise in extinguishing performance.

  • Water-based, biodegradable

The extinguishing medium is water-based and biodegradable — among the most environmentally friendly extinguishing solutions available on the market.

  • Free of PFAS/PFOA, pH-neutral, non-toxic

Unlike traditional fire extinguishers, it contains no harmful PFAS/PFOA substances, is pH-neutral and non-toxic — minimising the impact on aquatic ecosystems and the surrounding environment.

  • No dust or chemical residue

After deployment, no dusty residue or chemical deposits remain, significantly reducing secondary damage to equipment and the space.

Principle

Four mechanisms at once.

Conventional extinguishers use one or two extinguishing mechanisms. fx51 combines all four — which is why it handles classes that other agents cover only partially.

Cooling

Water cools the burning material below its ignition temperature and removes the heat that sustains the chain reaction of combustion.

Oxygen separation

A layer of the fx51 agent forms a film on the surface of the flammable material, cutting off the oxygen supply to the fuel.

Interruption of the chemical reaction

Additives in the agent break down free radicals in the flame, stopping chain oxidation even with combustible metals and oils.

Stabilisation of lithium-ion batteries

The agent lowers the cell temperature below the thermal-runaway threshold and prevents re-ignition — critical in stores of e-bikes, EVs and backup systems.

Coverage

Seven classes. Seven coverages.

fx51 meets the extinguishing criteria for all commonly classified fire classes, including categories where ordinary agents fail or make the situation worse.

  • A

    Solid combustible materials

    wood, paper, textiles, rubber, plastics

  • B

    Flammable liquids

    petrol, diesel, oils, solvents, alcohol

  • C

    Flammable gases

    methane, propane, hydrogen

  • D

    Combustible metals

    magnesium, powdered aluminium, sodium

  • E

    Live fires

    switchboards, servers, battery systems

  • F

    Cooking oils and fats

    deep fryers, grills, professional kitchens

  • Li

    Lithium-ion cells

laptops, e-bikes, car batteries, energy storage

Comparison

Why one device instead of four.

Powder extinguishers

Unsuitable for cooking oils (class F) and Li-ion batteries. They contaminate the space with a fine powder that damages electronics.

CO₂ extinguishers

Evaporate quickly without cooling the fuel. High risk of re-ignition with classes A and F.

Foam extinguishers

Conductive — unsuitable for electrical installations. They contain PFAS, which are regulated in the EU.

Firetech fx51

The agent covers A, B, C, D, F, electrical installations and Li-ion. One type of device, one training course, one stockroom.
